I have been doing hair straightening and coloring with Esther since two years ago, at that time she was with Park Salon. The first few times the results were good, my hair was straight without frizziness for a good few months. However, everything changed after she started working with Amour. The last two times were very disappointing. My hair got frizzy and curly again within two weeks. I gave them a chance and went again on early Oct for the same hair straightening treatment and coloring. Before i go, i confirmed with her for the same price i got before ( i paid $2200 last visit for hair cut, coloring, and straightening). During the hair treatment, I saw that she was using so little straightening products on my hair, it wasnt even enough to cover my hair, she was trying so hard to spread it evenly. After the treatmemt, she told me to wait at least 24 hours before washing my hair to help keeping the result. I waited at least 30 hrs before washing it. When i went to pay for the bill, i was told to pay $2350 instead of $2200 she initially agreed on. I asked her and she said because I need haircut so need to add $150. But wait... i paid 2200 last time including the haircut. To avoid getting her into trouble, i paid it. After few days, I found that my hair already got curly and frizzy (not suprised bc the treatment product wasnt even enough to cover my hair). So i messaged Esther and tell her the result was bad. I sent her a picture of my hair, and she blamed it on the dried ends of hair. But... she cut at least two inch of my hair... it doesnt make sense to me. Then she only told me to go back for a hot oil treatment and it may not get as frizzy... i refused as i have tried that with her before and it doesnt help, also i dont wanna spend my money in this place anymore. The purpose of doing hair straightening treatment is to save time from straightening my hair every morning... and after the treatmemt i still have to spend extra 30 mins on my hair.... To summarize: 1. Cheap on hair product 2. Charging more than what initially agreed on. 3. Poor after-sales service Will i go back to this place? Hell no, for $2300, i believe there are better places in HK. Waste of time and waste of money.
I had a wonderful experience at this hair salon! The environment is clean and tidy, making it a comfortable place to relax. The hairstylist was professional and attentive, fully understanding my needs and offering great suggestions. The quality of the products used was also impressive, making my hairstyle last beautifully. Every time I've left, I've been pleasantly surprised, and my friends can't stop complimenting my hair. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of a haircut—you won’t be disappointed! Huge thanks to them!
After years in Asia I’ve finally found a very professional place to treat my hair and have great highlights! Finally a place worth the money spent. The staff is amazing from reception to my technician Niko and also Sam from the leading team.
Best haircut experience in my 10 years living in Hong Kong. From the quick & clear response of the receptionist on the phone, professionalism of the stylist to the junior who washed my hair, the quality of service was excellent. The layout of the salon is spacious with massive windows that allowed so much natural light. The girl who washed my hair was very thorough & gave me a really good scalp massage. My stylist was Pak. His spoken English was good & I appreciated his detailed consultation. I was impressed with Pak’s professionalism, he really took a lot of care in cutting & styling my hair. His technique was quite different to other stylists, he told me he used to train technicians in the L’Oréal School. I’ve been disappointed with so many salons in HK. I ended up going to salons under the Il Colpo group for several years now just because I feel they can keep a certain standard in their services but even after paying premium prices, the service still is not always up to scratch. I don’t appreciate the snobbish attitudes or the lack of communication or the rushed half hearted jobs because they are “busy” Amour Hair exceeded my expectations. Based on my experience today I fully recommend this salon. Thank you again to my stylist Pak, see you again next month!
Great salon with super easy going staff. I brought in a formula from a previous colourist and they happily made it up for me. Prices are reasonable and I was happy with the blowout. My questions on their Facebook page were answered almost immediately even though I messaged late at night. They have a big space and a good range of products. I loved the washing station as the sinks were very comfortable. The salon has lots of natural light which makes it seem even more spacious and comfortable.
