This was overall a disappointing experience. I had originally booked the Picoplus 1064nm Toning Laser treatment; I struggle with hyperpigmentation and melasma. I have done this laser before so I knew it this specific wavelength was safe for darker skin tones. And Skin & Beam offered a very affordable price so I decided to try. I found it odd that there was no option to book a consultation so I messaged the center and they said I can ask for a consultation when I get there. When I arrived the consultation was with the receptionist. She said that the laser is not safe for my skin and would cause white spots. Her explanation was not clear and she did not seem informed on the different kinds of lasers. Instead she was making general statements. I decided to air on the side of caution and accept the morning glow facial she recommended (it was on promotion). I did not insist on the laser treatment because the “consultation” with the receptionist didn’t leave me feeling confident that the facialist would have the medical experience to customise the treatment to my skin tone. The Morning glow facial was fine. I have sensitive skin so the gauze used under the modelling mask left dimpled marks on my cheeks. Also I was put off by having to pay before the treatment. All in all, I would not recommend this clinic.

Misleading advertising, zero results, hygiene concerns. I booked the Hydro Peel + Duet RF package at the Causeway Bay branch. Before booking I was explicitly told the treatment delivers "precise blackhead and whitehead removal" and "deep pore cleansing." That was the main reason I chose this clinic. Hydro Peel: Zero results. I took photos before and after the same day and they are completely identical. My blackheads were entirely untouched. I've had this treatment multiple times in Hong Kong and elsewhere, so I know exactly what to expect. When I raised this, I was told they "don't provide extraction services" and that blackheads "may not be completely resolved", the direct opposite of what was advertised to me at booking. RF Treatment: Midway through the session the therapist stopped to tell me the needle tip was at its limit. Needle tips on RF devices should be replaced between clients as a basic hygiene standard. I was not informed of this beforehand and had no say in the matter. This is not a minor issue. Consultation: A complimentary consultation was promised as part of the service. When I arrived I specifically asked for it as I was genuinely interested in building a monthly skincare routine and booking additional treatments. The staff told me "maybe on another floor, we don't have this" and that was it. No consultation happened. I raised all of this privately and in good faith before posting a review. The only resolution offered was a free consultation, which ironically never happened in person either. I have before and after photos and the full conversation history to support everything written here. Check the recent reviews. Not an isolated experience. Avoid.
I came in with a recommendation from a friend and not knowing what kind of treatment to do. All the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, they were patience enough to explain several treatment processes and answered all my questions politely. The clinic is clean and has everything you need for a pleasant and affordable experience.
I like it at skin and beam, I went there clueless on what to do but had always heard good things so I decided to try it out myself. Their rates are very affordable and on top of that, there’s no hard sell at all. Their Korean staff was very nice & guided me when I was there for my first time, educating on what to do to target and focus on areas I find concerning. It feels very fuss free and very bright and clean. I tend to bump into my friends here, so it’s always a busy place: recommend to make a booking before coming. Oh and always check out their instagram highlight for good promotions!
