Please DON'T go to this beauty house. You will WASTE so much time sitting with the "beautician" with them hard-selling you, instead of getting quality facial time. I had the exact same experience with Mimi below(wish I read her review before going). Long story short, I thought I was getting a trial and ended up having to pay $2k to do the trial. I was not offered the 780 option and straight up the 2K "combo" which the lady said was required. The way they cornered you into getting the combo is that they don't bring up the trial at all. They would first ask you to clean your face, do a face scan, talk about your face condition and then onto the treatments you are suitable for. TBH they don't even know which trial you signed up for as the lady asked me instead. Then, they would say the other add-on treatments are mandatory to complete the trial. I also had time constraint and I told the lady way ahead of time to ensure she had sufficient time to complete it. She ended up completing 2/3 of the treatments in the time I had, where the third treatment, not done, was the most expensive!! She said I could come back another day to do it. (another opportunity for you to sell me?!) I felt she lied when she said she would have enough time to complete all 3 treatments as the third treatment would take at least 20 mins, where the combined time would be way over the time I had. My face also got super red and irritated after the treatment which she claimed is "normal". I felt this was a fraud/scam as the talking time was much more than the facial time. I've only read about the crazy hard-sell tactics out there online until I experienced it here. There are certainly lots of spa places with better customer service and overall experience out there.
The facial treatment was merely satisfactory; however, the aggressive sales tactics (enduring over an hour of relentless sales blabber and interrogation) and deceptive information were particularly off-putting. I had previously visited the Thann Spa at ArtPiece (which I adored) and was contacted by House of Beauty for a "complimentary facial" (which ultimately proved to be misleading), prompting me to give it a chance. Upon arrival, the treatment did not commence immediately. Instead, I was required to complete a form, which is reasonable, but it was followed by a concerted effort to aggressively promote their products FOR 40 MINS before the facial even started. The so-called "complimentary facial" turned out to be nothing more than a brief 10-minute eye massage 😂 (after already waiting for 40 minutes, I was unwilling to settle for that). The sales staff persistently attempted to push the $2,000+ package for a trial, but I eventually opted for the $780 option. I was on a time limit but she keep interrogating to why i wasn’t going for the full $2k package before letting the service commence. 40 mins after my appointment time, I could finally start the service. Facial was around an hour, nice ambience, but overall quality of products were questionable (never heard of any of the brands). After my facial I thought I could pay and peacefully leave but NO 😢 they take you straight back into the sales room after for round two of interrogation (also 30+ minutes) 😭 she kept trying to sell me yearly packages (2k+ each time, total 26k). Their simple products used during the facial and service are simply not worth that price. I kept trying to leave but she would PHYSICALLY stop me and ask WHY I’m not signing a 12-24 month plan. Sad that the overall experience was mostly negative due to the unpleasant, agressive hard-selling tactics they use. Really wouldn’t recommend House of Beauty place to any friend, nor a stranger as a matter of fact, especially if you’re looking for some peaceful spa services.
