I had a truly heartwarming experience at this barbershop. As a tourist from Malaysia, I sat down in the chair before realising they didn't accept credit cards and I didn’t have any local cash on me. In Hong Kong, they primarily use Alipay or FPS. I offered to leave so I wouldn't cause any trouble, but the staff completely put me at ease, saying, "It's okay, we'll figure it out later." Even knowing there was a chance I might not be able to pay them, they went right ahead with the service. The barber did an amazing job. I got exactly what I asked for with my head shave and beard trim. While I was in the chair frantically trying to figure out how to pay via Alipay with my Malaysian accounts, they were incredibly patient. It took me about 15–20 minutes to realise I could use my Wise account to transfer via FPS, and during that entire time, they were nothing but polite and even offered me a drink to comfort me. This is an amazing Muslim-owned barbershop with the kindest staff you will ever meet. Thank you so much for your incredible trust and hospitality. I went to AK Barbers in Sham Shui Po on Saturday and it was the highlight of my weekend. AJ my barber delivered a fantastic service. He followed my exact introductions to what I wanted and he exceeded my expectations. The whole barbershop was friendly and welcoming and AJ even offered me some tea. High quality service and low price. I will definitely recommend them and I will return to this hidden gem.
