I came here for Morpheus8, honestly trusting Hong Kong more than where we live primarily, in London (where my mother was a practicing doctor when still just a student at Harvard medical school, as in the states, medicine, law, so on and so forth are a doctorate and well beyond education; even I have a doctorate, as required to sit for the bar, so have had everything messed up by the “best doctors on Harley street” in London, and my godfather, who met my father after university during medical school in the states, is from Hong Kong, grew up in Hawaii, the head of a hospital in San Diego, and this was the most recommended place in HK for Morpheus). The machine was authentic, the staff was nice, everything was a positive experience, but unfortunately, now that I have done my second session of Morpheus, in Italy (again, avoiding London, and in another place where medicine is just a bachelors degree), I can tell that the first round done here in HK was was completely useless, as they also told me (he being a plastic surgeon here, who said that Morpheus is getting a bad name worldwide because many practitioners are doing it so weakly that it has no effect). On a fundamental level, these are reasons why I can tell that it was not done properly or of any use in Hong Kong: 1) my arms literally had violent involuntary reflexes from the treatment in Italy, my arm literally flying up without the ability to control it and she had to hold it down because the Morpheus RF energy was penetrating at a deep level, obviously hitting a stimulus area, repeatedly in certain areas of treatment (apparently this in common when treating the arms - didn’t happen once or even close to in HK). 2) Recovery being much more significant - it looks more akin to an actual stronger laser treatment (all I’ve ever done in Asia have been very, very weak since their skin quality is much better and easier to treat than Caucasian). Here in Italy they were concerned about my being remotely anywhere near to the sun or hot weather and dealing with the recovery. I said it was no big deal in Hong Kong, literally nothing, even immediately after the treatment. I am now three days out, and I still have the markings much like with a laser treatment outside of Asia (never mind actual lumenis ultra pulse laser strength which is like a miracle). I would upload a current photo, but I do not want this to get confused with a photo of after the treatment in Hong Kong. For this reason, though they were nice, it was a complete waste of money. We were only looking into if the machine was authentic or not in HK, which it was, but obviously the practitioner and their ability to operate Morpheus effectively we knew was just as important. If you’re doing morpheus at such a low level intensity as was done here, save your money, it’s completely useless and I’m starting from scratch, having just done what actually would be the first round of two or three (I should add that my skin looked the same, if not worse, after the first round in HK, now about seven weeks out, so it’s not like it had any positive effects and I’m just saying that coming to Italy and having it done to a stronger degree is better - it literally looked absolutely no different from the HK treatment, or possibly worse, but I did not take that into consideration as obviously, I have been told you will not see any results until after a couple rounds, so did not leave a review until doing this second session to see how truly different it was). I wish them the best and I’m not speaking negatively to anything else the clinic does, just that I would not bother getting Morpheus done here for the aforementioned reasons.
The doctor was sweet and the clinic is clean. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the result. Since my regular doctor was on leave, I decided to try this place for the first time. I was recommended a much higher number of units than I usually do— about 25 units! Even after that, I still had visible lines. And on top of that, a bruise on my forehead that stayed there for a full week . They then suggested I come back for another 16 units to get the result I need !!! 🥹🥲 For comparison, my regular doctor only uses 13 units and I get better results. I really don’t understand how the dosing works here or what kind of product the doctor uses. I’m quite unhappy with the overall outcome.
I’ve been going to Dr Jolie for years and now she is helping me correct my hormonal melasma from pregnancy and help get my postpartum face looking and feeling fresh again! I trust her completely with the treatments she recommends and she never tries to oversell or give you more than you need. She’s lovely and takes the time to explain everything in depth. The clinic is clean and right next to the MTR exit which is super convenient! Could not recommend more!
I have been trusting my face and skin with Dr Jolie Beaute for over 5 years now. I am soon 48 and get so much amazing feedback on my face and how great my skin is and how fresh I always look. I normally get my Botox, Fillers, and Facials there; however, recently, I tried the InMode Forma treatment (tightens the skin and boosts collagen) recently. I can't recommend it enough. I walked away with glowing skin and 3 days later, I am using less makeup as my skin is so damn clear. :-) This treatment does need follow-up for the best results, so I look forward to going back. Dr Yip always provides the best advice for my skin and face structure, so I am never worried about leaving my face in her hands. She is one of the only Dr's that understands I still want to look like me and look my age, just with less wrinkles and keep my skin in good condition.
The clinic is conveniently located and the staff are professional and friendly. I feel well cared for and they answer all my questions thoughtfully. I've been twice now -- first for a facial and another time for a collagen treatment. I always walk out feeling refreshed and renewed. I will definitely keep coming back. I trust them to take good care of me. My favorite thing is that I don't feel like they're pushing product on me so I can just enjoy my treatment.
