Good experience Aberdeen boat tour, since I have no friends and no other visitors with me, I don't know why not including to boat noodle into our trip today since the tour booked ticket is included. But was good the staff and guide are so friendly.
I had an amazing experience today as I joined the 1773 Harbor Tour organized by "Wandering Fisherman." Besides the informative audio commentary on the boat, our guide provided detailed explanations, highlighting the historical and cultural significance of Hung Shing Temple and Shui Yuet Temple in Aberdeen. Thanks to this tour, I gained a deeper understanding of the history and culture of Hong Kong Island.
Today I joined the "Wandering Fishing Harbour 1773" guided tour. Besides the audio guide on board, the guide's explanations were detailed, with special introductions to Hung Shing Temple and Shui Yuet Temple, giving me a deeper understanding of Aberdeen's history and culture. If I hadn't joined this tour, I wouldn't have known that so many people used to live on boats in the Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter. The exhibits on the boat showed many of the daily necessities used by fishermen and old photos that can't be found elsewhere—a wonderful cultural experience! Also, I saw a small boat sail by on the houseboat; it's actually a mobile kitchen. Watching the uncle cook boat noodles on the spot was very interesting. I heard that there are only two of these noodle boats left in the typhoon shelter, and I wonder when they will disappear. Everyone should seize the opportunity to try them!
This is a very detailed tour about the historical background of the Aberdeen pier and the living on the water. Total time is about 1.5 hour but it's packed with different viewpoint. And the magnificent view of the Jumbo Boat Restaurant (closed on 2020) do not miss the lunch option of thetoyr. It's including a delicious boat noodle from the last operating boat catering operator.
