Dr. Davis was patient with mole checking and scar management. However, it was strange that he was reluctant to prescribe Tretinoin for hyperpigmentation and fine lines. He cited it's very old then recommended the latest generation of retinoid, Aklief. From my memory, Dr had some involvement in trialing and/or distributing within HK. He showed me some case photos and seemed confident. I finished the bottles of Aklief AND Epiduo Forte. The results were mediocre for me, and neither treat fine lines according to Google. I did appreciate his advice initially. After this review, he denied being part of trials for any commercial benefit. I saw Dr Nicole for follow up. She too denied Tretinoin and said the newest generation, which I already finished, contains some Tretinoin. This is not true and I'm not sure why this was said. She also picked up a call in the middle of consult and this was mentioned by another review. When I remarked on how busy she is, she told me to ask her boss, which was awkward. I enquired about skin cancer prevention. She said only foreigners enquire about that but in HK, doctors don't have time so they just treat the problem after it occurs. There might be some truth to that as some clinics don't elaborate on preventative care and she didn't either. Personally, I felt a bit pushed to accept Aklief again despite expressing a few times already that the results weren't evident. Again, I asked about Tretinoin and I was told the side effects are too strong, and it's an outdated product that's not popular in HK. Does the age of a product matter? People react differently to the same product. It is indeed used a lot in HK. She even admitted that they receive them but they just simply collect dust. I asked if there's any in stock for me to try but she avoided answering. I recently asked what the diagnosis was for the small translucent lesion on my nose as I was never informed. The nurse said acne, which was obviously, in my humble opinion, could not be right as I've popped it a few times and it only grew back looking exactly the same for years. They insisted it was acne until I pressed. Finally, they explained that this lesion was simply a benign lesion and it presented a nonspecific appearance so it's medically acceptable to call it benign and nothing else. So not only is it just benign but the Dr didn't explain why the lesion was recurring and offered to laser it off for 3K. The clinic clarified that in the end the lesion was not acne and that the appointment nurse handled the query despite not knowing patient cases. They asked me why I couldn't present a photo of my nose lesion. Quite literally, the nurse did not have to answer if she wasn't fit to and patients shouldn't have to come up with solutions on the clinic's behalf. I accepted that this clinic simply doesn't dispense Tretinoin. They confirmed they don't stock it anymore. I obtained it from another clinic and it was extremely affordable. My skin was retinized by Aklief so the side effects were nothing. I am very happy with the results and understand why it's massively popular. A Dr's guidance is the real difference in managing side effects. Lastly, I expressed disappointment in seeing critical comments like mine to be seemingly buried under 5 star reviews from questionable accounts. This perception is commonly found on Google reviews. The clinic denied it, and then demanded I remove this review within 5 days or else they will take action. This is in my view a threat or an attempt at silencing. I've read that this is against Google policy to suppress feedback through legalities. Later, they withdrew it, denied that it was a threat and explained their side. However, they still evaded addressing the events of my last consult where inaccurate medical claims of a product were made and offered no apologies. Is this fair? They were still very dissatisfied by this amendment of honest events. All of this is based on the facts of my experience and personal opinion, which is what reviews are for. Please use your own discretion to decide.

I visited the dermatologist center this morning (March 16, 2026) and was shocked by the nurse’s behavior. She was not nice at all, rude from the start, speaking to me disrespectfully and without any empathy. Her tone was dismissive, making me feel unwelcome and undervalued as a patient. This is unacceptable in a medical setting where professionalism and kindness are essential. The dermatologist may be skilled, but this nurse’s attitude overshadows everything. Management, please train your staff better!

My newborn’s skin problem began as what we were told was newborn acne. The pediatrician said, “It will go away by itself,” so we waited, but it only got worse. We consulted another pediatrician, and the steroid ointment they prescribed only acted as a moisturizer — there was no improvement even after more than a week of use. After weeks of worrying, we finally met Dr. Nicole Chan. She was patient and took the time to listen to our concerns and the treatments we had already tried. She recommended a skincare products suited for our newborn’s sensitive skin. We noticed improvement within a day, and the eczema was gone by day 5. Thank you, Dr. Nicole, for your kindness, understanding, and excellent care. The staff were also responsive on WhatsApp. Highly recommended!
