I called the Hospital to make an inquiry at 1:59am June 13 2026. The guy who answered was very rude. He told me in a very angry way "I'm very busy, come tomorrow and ask" then he dropped the phone.
Procedure was smooth, a nurse was assisting me for ecg then suddenly a rude lady came in and decided to pull up my bra, exposing my chest while we were 1 curtain away from other staffs, did not even apologize when it wasnt even urgent. I just did the ecg from outpatient department without problem about half an hour ago. It is disappointhing how they said i need to go to ER when almost the same procedure were done, just additional xray and bloodtest which i believe can also be done in opd. I paid extra fee for ER then I got referral letter to which when i applied will be due in 5 months, i dont see the urgency there. Id give it more star but 1 star because of that rude lady
The building was cozy and classy. The ambulances were small which fit the design of the roads in Cheung achat. Yet I was told that photo taking near the hospital was prohibited. I just managed to take a few photos around the building.
i understand most local people don't show much of emotion ,I'm used to it already , i don't care if they're snob or just doing their job, but passing your stuff like almost throwing it is very disrespectful , this staff in the registration in the outpatient department today did that with my kids birth certificate and change fron payment , but i still smiled to her, i know she did it intentionally coz she did it twice. I hope whatever she's experiencing in life doesn't affect her job and show more professionalism , it's not my first time in a public hospital , but this staff attitude is a first time to encounter in my 7years here. I'm an expat but i respect Hong Kong, and the people of it. I'm happy and thankful to be living in Hong Kong . If the hospital tried to search my name, I'm not the patient today but my 2kids are. Doctor today was very kind and smart.
Located in Tung Wan, Cheung Chau Hospital has a good view. Compared to other hospitals, it is small. Although the hospital has basic facilities, it cannot cope with serious accidents. At this moment, the helicopter is called to send the injured to other hospitals. On the other hand, the hospital provides Outpatient Clinic, Maternal And Child Health Centre and the pharmacy services to the public.
