Leading supermarket chain owned by one of the world’s richest in this supposedly world-class city: boxes of salad green with rotten leaves; freezer selling frozen meat that had turned brownish; canned soup of only the Campbell label (thought I could get better quality brand like Baxter ) etc etc. Checkout counter with only one cashier opened though the line of customers was long… Quite an experience!!
Wide selection, Sushi is good, roast meat is good, lunch time 2 meal selection is good, one if not the only place you can buy real bread. The counter queues is a joke though, just do self checkout.
Fusion took over this location from Wellcome and it is definitely worse now. Wellcome had a larger range of products, last time I couldn't even find minced beef in a normal size. No real fresh bread available either. Hardly any cold cut meats. The self check outs are annoying as it's impossible to use them with any discounted products or fresh fruit. You'll still have to weigh it at a scale.. Most of the times only 2 cashiers open so long queues.
Damn expensive, expect to pay 20% more than other super market. And the lines are very long since they have only 2 cashier and no one in HK like to use 'self checkout' stay away from this place...
